Parts for 2500 NON-HD

There's a pitman arm with a 3 groove spline, and another with a 4 groove spline. I see the pictures of how they are different, but how do I know which one is for my truck?

Same question with the transfer case motor. One has a 4 pin harness, and another with a 6 pin.

Is there a way to decode these with my VIN #, or is it best to just take it off....look at it....and then go buy it? Trying to buy the parts ahead of time so I can get all the wrenching done at the same time.

Best way to be 100% sure is to pull it and look. Usually 2500hd pitman arms are 3 groove (33 total spline) and 1500 trucks are 4 groove (32 total spline). Being a 2500 non hd, I'd like to think its the 3 spline but I'd pull it to be sure.

As for the t-case is it an Auto 4x4?

Thanks newdude! I actually went out and looked it up by the RPO code for the shift motor. Forgot about that.... It's an NP8. Yes, it's Auto 4x4. That sticker in the glove box comes in handy! Along with the amazing RPO code lookup tool here on this fantastic site!

Since my truck is almost technically a "2000", I'll just have to pull it off of there and make sure I have the right one.
