PAINT CHIPPING FRONT BUMPER on GMC All Terrain

I purposely was looking for, and bought, an AT without color matched bumpers because of this thread (and many others like it). Has anyone color matched the bumpers with a wrap? Seems like that would have some give instead of chipping.

I had my grill wrapped, chips easily as well. Just get whatever you do to it covered with xpel or 3m clear bra.

Wrapping the wrap. That seems... excessive lol. Thanks for the heads up.

I have a 2015 all terrain,my bumper is a mess, must be 50 chips in it,very disappointed, dealers won't do anything, say there hands are tied by GM,there is no reason a truck with under 30k on it,should look like this, very poor quality GM.They should recall this issue, paint is way to soft on metal bumper, last GM vehicle I will ever buy, been a GM owner my whole life

I don't think it is GM's fault you find yourself in rocky environments where cars kick up rocks or you follow the sand truck too close. I have 3 small chips in my bumper, all caused from winter "sand" being kicked up by oncoming transports. Yeah it sucks, but it is not GM's fault I have to drive in those conditions. I bought a touch up pen for $10 bucks and watched a tutorial from AMMO NYC, truck look awesome. Is it GM's fault when your windshield cracks from a stone chip? No, why would this be any different?

I own a 2016 Silverado 1500 Z-71 Crew Cab. Purchased it with 9 miles on odometer. Now close to 12k and not only bumper, but hood, fenders, and truck bed are showing small chips in the paint. Small circular holes in paint where metal is showing. No dents, dings, or divots in the metal. Dealership said it's normal wear and tear. I live in the city, don't drive gravel/rock roads, and can't believe that a vehicle less than a year old has paint coming off it! I finally managed to get the General Manager to be willing to help, ( after sending an email to him), but have the truck in a second time now because body shop tried to paint over it. I spent $45k to not have to deal with vehicle problems. Only thing not covered by a warranty is paint.

Are there anymore 2016-17 Silverado owners out there experiencing paint issues?
