Carriage Works Bolt Over Install

Has anyone here installed the bolt-over Carriage Works brushed grille on their 2014 Silverado? I can't for the life of me figure out how to install the bottom section. Top section was easy. One screw and a few metal pins and that was it. However, on the bottom section they want me to install these metal brackets as well. I can't figure out how to get them through the stock grille. I removed the radiator shroud to try and gain access from the top, but even with that removed you can't get your hands anywhere near the grille. The videos I have seen show the older style Silverados where removing the shroud gave you access from above. Doesn't work on the 2014's. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
