I have the light duty 2500 (or 1500HD that GM calls it) and I just put 285/75R16 Bridgestone Dueler MTs on. I cranked the T-bars up and put a 2" block in the back. You could get away with just cranking the T-Bars but I wanted the truck to be a little higher in the back so when a load was put on it she wouldn't hang so much. But the 285s make it look allot sweeter.

Hi all,

What's the answer for 2WD?  I have a 2000 Silverado ext. cab with two wheel drive and stock rubber on 16 inch rims.  I have searched the archives and people love the 285s - but most are on 4WD.  I don't see many comments on what I can fit into my wheel wells with this lower suspension.  I would love to put on 285/75 BFG A/Ts.  Looks like they would fit OK on the back, but not the front.  Any comments would be helpful!

Thanks in advance!
