Another day

well, the dealer says I have to drive the F150 another day.  Appearantly their allignment rack isn't big enough to put my truck on it!!!  Now here is where it gets good...  They sent my truck and a mechanic to no where else but a "Ford" garage for the alignment!!!  I'm sure they'll do it right though because they sell alot of the F450 and bigger trucks.  It is actually a very good garage and it also has the "Transdrive" transmission repair service.

The red F150 is hiding in the garage again....

Let me see if I have this straight - the Chevy dealer is sending your Chevy to a Ford garage, with a Chevy mechanic, to get it aligned?  ???

Wow!!

Good luck!

The alignment machines should be the similar just one is bigger.  I'm sure the mechanic went to make sure it was set correctly so to cure my "crooked" steering wheel.  I believe the alignment was OK before because the truck drove straight and true, but in order to fix the off-center steering wheel they have to re-align.

They said they still haven't finished investigating my transfer case problem since the truck spent so much time at the Ford garage!!!  (It is kind of comical  :(  :D  )

chevy is only for cheap.

btw, i drove a 2002 explorer to atlanta today (stripped down no option XLS) and it was great!!  even tho the one i drove is a base model, it was very comfortable.  i didn't take the s-crew because i didn't drive it to work, and i don't have to worry about gas reimbursment w/ company vehicles.

and another day and another and another...  my HD is sick, and the dealer doctor is trying to fix her.

I talked to the dealer on the phone today, and the Transfer case needs repaired/replaced.

I told the assistant service manager about the F150.  She had no idea that Enterprise rent-a-car gave me a Ford and she was very "sorry" about it.  She appologized several times.  She said that they ask for GM vehicles whenever possible and she figured they must not have had a Silverado available for me.  She offered to call them and have them bring me a GM product but I didn't want the hassle...  I'll just continue to beat on the F150 for a few more days.  (It's fun when it isn't yours).

They actually apologized for you getting a ford? Now that is comical! :(

Now, on a serious note, What do you think of it Shane?   ;)

General,

I posted some thoughts in this thread... F150

Did some one say brake torque and see how fast it can go in 4-Lo? :(

HaHA...  I almost drove it the 1.5 miles home from work today in 4Lo.  I thought I would be like Jack2000 (sorry it's an inside joke).

I have plenty of time to run the Ford through its' paces  because the T-case is removed from my HD...  and I suspect I'll be driving this truck until midweek at the earliest!!!

Man, that isn't good.  Even in his brief stint here his idiotic nature rubbed off on a few people. ???
