Faint engine noise through speakers after system overhaul

Wondering if anyone might have some input for me.

I bypassed the bose system and ran all new head unit, speakers, tweeters, sub and amp throughout my 2009 2500hd. Wired it all up and i am now getting a faint engine noise once i start driving. After messing around for a bit, i started disconnecting some wires to pin point the issue. First i disconnected the ground from stock harness going into a Scosche Gm3000, and my radio was still on. i then unplugged my radio antenna and then the radio shuts off. Next, i reconnected my ground wire, and left the antenna unplugged and the noise went away. I am not a guru with audio, but i know a few basics. I ended up running a new ground wire directly to the radio from the chassis, and i have the same issue. Can anyone shed any light on where to start looking for my issue, or will i end up just not having am/fm? haha

Thanks for any help

Are the RCA's running anywhere close to the power wire? If they are the RCA's are getting alternator hiss from being run to close to the power wire. Try switching which side of the vehicle the RCA's are run down.
