2004 Silverado P0332

I have a 2004 5.3 Silverado that's intermittently throwing a P0332 Knock Sensor Bank 2 Circuit Low Input code. I've recently replaced the spark plugs (code started before that) and the knock sensors and harness.

Does anyone have any idea where this problem could be coming from or how to find it (hopefully without removing the intake manifold again)?

Did you use RTV on the knock sesnor covers? Somehow that is getting corroded and shorting.

Check the sensor voltages via a scantool. If you have no readings, you've got a broken wire. It is fairly common due to the wiring's location and constant heat cycling.

Also important to torque them properly

Tighten the knock sensor to 20 N·m(15 lb ft)

Which part of the knock sensor gets torqued? I didn't see anything to put a torque wrench on

The same place you put the socket. You use a deep well socket.

Looking at it again, I didn't actually replace the sensor. Just the harness. Looks like I'm pulling the intake manifold again

Not sure how you missed the whole sensors/ harness replacement repair on the Internet

Live and learn I guess
