D2 VS Dually VS SAE

I know and I've searched... there's so many Fog light questions I don't even know where to go in some of these threads... (they are so long) so here goes hoping for quick easy thread.

So my Sierra SLE didn't come with fog lights. It has blank bezels and I'm planning on getting set with a wiring harness and switch that I'll bring through the firewall. I'm pretty much ready to jump but I don't really know which lights to get. I have a set of rigid mounts so I'm thinking I will go with Rigid. But if there's another more affordable brand out there that will work with the rigid mounts then I'm all for it. These are for fogs so I don't know which pattern is best either... Question:

D2 - my understanding is you have to turn them off when on the road? I was thinking of going with D2 Wide Amber if I went this route

Dually - do you have to turn them off while on road? I would probably get flood or diffused, don't know which would be better for my application...

SAE - are they as bright as Dually or less?

I'm leaning towards Dually because of the price, especially if they are as bright as SAE and you can keep them running on road.

SAE pods are the only light pods from Rigid industries that can legally be used on the road. They are incredibly bright FOR A FOG LIGHT. I'm not saying this to downgrade the output of the DOT/SAE pods from rigid but rather to say that they are extremely bright but won't seem as bright compared to a D2 or Dually (non DOT approved versions) because the DOT/SAE pods shine brightly in a legal pattern which keeps them down and on the road and out of the eyes of oncoming drivers and drivers Infront of you. The Dually and D2 pods shine a lot of light all over (how the light is dispersed depends on the beam pattern)

If you plan to use these lights on the road, then get the DOT/SAE approved pods. If you plan to use these away from other drivers only, then the Dually or D2 pods will work
