Tire/offset question. .specific 20" combo

Hi all, first post here...

I am about to take delivery of a 2015 Silverado 1500 LTZ 1LZ 5.3 2WD.

I have searched the forums and have seen some say 305/50r20 tires will not rub with stock wheels and suspension (no level). I've also seen some say they will.

I really like the idea of the wider aggressive look without going bigger (staying at stock 32")

But I'm also looking at new wheels - still 20x9 - but 18mm offset instead of stock 27mm.

This combo will result in the wheels extending out 9mm with 9mm more inside clearance, but also then 0.5" more tire on either side.

Seems like the inside won't be much issue since the extra offset will help with the wider tire, but the outside of the tire will be approaching 1" more extended than stock.

Do you all think that will work without rubbing anything? Seems like plenty of fenderwell for the outside right?

Thanks!
