Gentlemen, I resently bought a random orbital polisher/waxer.  It came with 4 applicator pads.  My question is which one(s) should I use and when.  The polisher came with 1 foam pad, 1 terry cloth pad and 2 cotton bonnets.  Looking for help and any other info I should know when it comes to useing a polisher.  Thanks

Use the foam pad to put the wax/polish on.  Use the terry cloth one to remove the dried wax/polish.  The cotton ones for the follow up shine.  The random orbital is good.  Your arms won't get as tired, and the job will go quicker.  It doesn't generate much heat, so it won't burn the paint.  Just make sure that you always keep the foam pad full of wax/polish.  Dried wax/polish could leave swirl marks.  If you do compound, get a separate foam pad.  Just be careful not to overdo the corners and edges or use too much pressure.  It could wear the paint thinner in these spots.  Also be careful of the extension cord, it could leave scratches in the paint. :thumb:
