Reproduction LTZ/HC projector headlights

Has anyone purchased aftermarket Silverado projector headlamps? I'm specifically asking about the OEM reproductions which appear to come from the same source (eagle?). I'm wondering if they take the factory bulb sizes and if an FXR HID retrofit would work as well on them as OEM using fastheadlights conversion bracket.

I'd prefer OEM, but many used headlamps are damaged. I'm afraid the aftermarket ones may be prone to oxidation.

I've had them for the last two months. Uses stock bulbs. No issues so far with them

Hows the light quality on these over the "open" headlights? I'm planning to get some as I've heard they're good quality, but I'm concerned a halogen projector may be very dim compared to the great headlights I have now.

The factory projectors with halogens are horribly dim. Wife's '10 Terrain had the same problem. Both got HID kits installed. The High Country got the TRS Morimoto Kit which is great. Be aware that you need to extend the access covers as the bulb and wire connector are longer than the halogen bulbs. I extended mine with 1.5" styrene plates and lots of 5 minute JB Weld and JB Weld steelstik putty. Just rough up all the plastic with rough sandpaper before gluing.
