Does anyone have the Transmission Pan Torque Specs for a 2014 Silverado 1500 5.3L? Also is there a specific bolt tightening pattern? Thanks for the help.

I'm doing a pan swap, did you have any clearance issues removing the pan?

I actually haven't removed the Pan yet due to lack of time. I did however look at it already but did not notice that it would have too much problem with clearance. It looks really similar to my Tahoe and I did not have any issues with that one.

I'm curious, what is the purpose of swapping the pan? More fluid?

I ordered a PML cast deep pan. It has added cooling fins, drain plug and extra 2 quart capacity. I tow a lot in summer and looking for any extra cooling I can get plus servicing the fluid will be a breeze. God willing I will get it on today and report back.

Well to anyone interested I completed my PML deep tranny pan swap today. Unfortunately clearance is an issue both getting the oem off and installing the new pan. I first tried removing the tranny support mount and jacking up tranny a little bit. This did allow me to get the oem one out but no go on the new one going in. You have to remove the exhaust flanges and this allows the crossover to drop just enough. It was actually not that bad except those nuts on the exhaust are hard to get to, tight and somewhat seized from heat and rust already. PB blaster is your friend.

All in all the PML pan is a real nice product. It adds capacity and with the draining of the old pan it takes almost 9 quarts to fill up. Now we will see how it works. Here is a pic for reference.

The torque specs for the transmission pan bolts are actually 9 nm or 80 inch pounds. I called a dealership and also a friend of mine that own a shop when I realized that 18 ft lbs seemed like too much. They both gave me the answer of 80 inch pounds. I just want to make sure no one else reading this over tightens or breaks their bolts. --- I appreciate the info on the PML deep pan. I think I will be buying one of those soon and installing it.

Yes, exhaust was in the way. I put a 2x4 across the frame just in front of the flexible portion of the exhaust with the mesh metal cover. I then jacked my jack up until it just touched the 2x4. I then put a ratchet strap around the exhaust to the axle of my floor jack and ratcheted the exhaust down until there was roughly 3/4" more clearance under the pan. With some wiggling, the pan came out.
