LED Smoked Tail Light Install Suggestions / Problems

Hello all. I am looking at putting smoked LED tail lights 3rd brake light in my 06 Silverado EXT Cab. So many options, ballast etc. Is there a brand that is better than others that looks good and plug and play? Don't really want to cut wires etc.

 

Suggestions / Help with manufacturer ideas pictures as well. Who has installed these LED lights and what good bad has happened. .

I love them. These are the tail lights and they come with all the resistors and everything in them and are completly plug and play. i also like that they are Phillips. From what I read they are very well built and I have had mine on now for a little over a year and love it. No problem with curise controle, blinker flashing, and they are still very bright.

Putco manufactures a decent unit, be aware though concerning the 3rd brake light, the "smoke" effect is obtained by a colored coating on the OUTSIDE of the light, and over time will deteriorate, exposing the clear plastic lens underneath.

 

When this occurs, the unit looks like $h*t.
