Hi everybody,

With regards to putting 20" GM 5503 chrome 5-spoke wheels on a '10 2500HD, I'm aware that an adaptor to the 8x180mm bolt pattern is necessary. My questions are as follows:

1) With a 1.5" adaptor, is this going to cause the wheel to stick out past the fender?

2) Is a 20" wheel with going to fit comfortably into my wheel wells without having to go to a super thin tire?

3) Most importantly, are there any negative implications or problems that are likely to arise with the truck by using this configuration?

I've posted a picture of my pickup with the factory 17" wheels to give an idea of the current clearance in the wheel wells.

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. I've more or less hit a dead end trying to find out about this online. Thanks in advance.

Maybe look into oe wheel they offer that style wheel in your bolt pattern. It obviously is not oem gm but the same style wheel without the extra spacers pushing them out

I've been looking into that recently and it definitely seems like a more practical option. Are you aware if there are any GMC centre caps available for this style?

Also, still curious if anyone knows what tire size is sort of the maximum for this size wheel without any issues fitting in the wheel wells comfortably, so I can sort of get an idea of how thin I'll have to go with the tires. I'm looking for the truck to remain stock-looking and do not want to go with super-thin tires.

Thanks again.
