Why is the symbol a golden color? I'm having mine color matched to the truck I'll post pictures in a few days when they are done with it.

The bow tie has been golden since the 70s. Before that blue mostly. I had my 2011 painted black/red SS style.

My step dad got a part for his ZR2 from GM that was a black/red bowtie

GM has parts catalogs that are a mile deep, no surprises there. Mine wasn't OE, a friend painted it after the copper film started discoloring.
