I moved up here from Oakland almost 10 years ago. You can expect an incredibly slower pace, virtually no traffic, and absolutely beautiful scenery.

 

If your into hunting/fishing, it's the best in the State.

 

However, there are a lot of people who don't travel outside of Shasta County who feel this place is the worst in California because a few homeless and they can't leave their purses/laptops in their cars.
