A/C compressor will not engage

Hi, I know there are a lot of A/C postings here, but it seems everyone is different, sorry.

 

I have a 2005 Suburban Z71, 5.3. A/C turns freely but compressor will not engage. I have checked all of the connections I can find at the compressor, fuses, and relays. All relays and fuses check out good. I have no power at the low pressure switch when I tried to jumper it to get the compressor going to see if refrigerant was needed. No leaks in the system.

 

I know there is an electrical gremlin here somewhere that one of you has likely chased previously. Thanks for any help!

But have you actually checked to see if there is low refrigerant in the system? I want to say it's a pressure switch inside the compressor that would complete your circuit (s), not just a jumper wire. But I'm not an engineer and any time I've ever had a compressor issue or no a/c, I immediately check the system to see how low the refrigerant is and add accordingly.
