My 2013 Silverado just went off warrenty and

My truck just went one mile of 36K and the chrome is peeling. Any suggestions on how to stop it from getting worse?

Assuming you mean the faux chrome on the grill and similar parts? Unfortuantely, there isn't a whole lot you can do once it starts to go other than covering it with something else.

 

I'd recommend lightly sanding down the surface to remove the parts that are flaking and, though it might not look as nice, spraying with something like plastidip or a rattle can plastic paint.

If you are talking about the grille, why not spring about a 100 bucks and get a decent replacement. Probably last you another 36K miles maybe?
