Used OnStar, then all sounds stopped

Bought a 2015 with the basic stero and 8" mylink lcd, connected to OnStar to set up my account. While talking to the rep, the entire sound system went blank. Couldn't hear the stereo, OnStar rep, door chime, seatbelt chime, blinker.

Tried restarting twice and still no sound. Checked fuses, all good.

Drove to the dealership, walked around for 15 minutes trying to get someone to come take a look. Got to the truck, started it up and of course everything was working again.

Anyone have something similar happen?

It's probably related to the issue with the head unit wiring, apparently one of the harnesses picks up static electricity and causes it to go out.

I had this very same thing happen to my 2014 Silverado LTZ crew cab. My 8" My Link went blank although at night I was getting back light from it. My speakers were not working at all. The only function I had from the My Link was the reverse camera would turn on when I put it in reverse. I took it to the delear and after 3 days they told me my truck's amplifier behind the screen was bad. They replaced it and my screen has been working fine since
