Front left strut is toast

Both my lower ball joints are bad, I just replaced them with moog's but their parts don't match OE specs, so my truck is currently out of commission until the OE parts come in tomorrow. Same as you Tim at Murrays Chev In manitoba has been great to me.

I got a buddy that works there.

Do not buy GM upper or lower ball joints, they are cheaply made in China now. I've been through so many ball joints I lost count.

Too late, just pressed in the oem's. I compared them to the moogs I ordered and the moogs are about 3/4" shorter. They're not the right fit for my truck no matter what moog says. I called them and gave them my vin and they claim k500007 is the right part number.

So we can see that MOOG does not have the part out yet. Maybe they didn't expect for the ball joints to be going bad this quickly. Out of all the trucks I have ever driven GM has the weakest front suspension I have seen.

Kind of disappointing but "it is what it is..." I'll def be upgrading shocks and ball joints in the future.

I'm not sure why, but Moog says the part is the right part for my truck. It's the same part used for GMT900's, I looked on rockauto and all the ball joints listed for my truck are the same part numbers that are listed for a 2013. So I either I was sent the wrong ball joints or all these manufacturers are unaware of the differences in the suspension on the new trucks. The ball joints I received were in the correctly marked boxes, maybe it has something to do with their new redesigned ball joints? Either way someone has to go back to the drawing board I think. The OEM's are a third revision according to my GM tech. So hopefully they last longer that the originals I had.
