These speakers a nice upgrade?

I have been out of the car stereo loop for a long time. Not really sure what brands are doing good now.

 

Found a few pairs on crutchfield, just picked a few for thoughts. Going with a Pioneer 8100NEX. Just trying to do some upgrades to keep things fresh and interesting.

 

Any thoughts? Was thinking maybe the Pioneers?

What's it going into? I would loom into some component speakers to separate your mids and highs and pit mid ranges in the door and either replace tweeters or just wire the stock ones to the cross over.

I'm looking for a swap and upgrade, not new wiring and additional components

Went with JBL 602.

 

Their specifications state a nominal impedence of 2.3 ohm, so they should play very well with the bose amp ( although their literature calls them 3 ohm speakers)
