Nerf bar question

Proud owner to a 2015 all terrain will the older modle gmc/chev nerf bars work and bolt up or is it only 14/15.... I heard yes from some people no from others what's the right answer... Sorry if this has been covered no laptop and searched with tapatalk didn't get far

I know after maker ones will bolt up but they bolt to the body mounts
