Rc leveling kit install

I have watched some videos on quick installa on the 2 inch kit the only thing different from the instructions is they put the bolts from the bottom and leave alot of stuff attached im also wondering will unhooking the battery do the same thing as unplugging the three wires goin to the electronic power steering

No need to unplug battery or any wires. Bolts go down from the top. The only things I do for these kits is take off wheels, remove nut from sway bar end links, remove the bolts from the bottom of the strut. Then I take out the 6 bolts that hold the axle shafts to the diff, which will give you room to slide the bolt down.

My instructions showed the bolts going up from the bottom so that's how I installed them, wasn't too worried since it came with lock nuts. I bet it took all of an hour to do it all. If you put jack stands under the truck and lift both wheels off the ground at the same time, you wont even need to remove the sway bar end link bolts.

 

1.break all lug nuts loose while on the ground

2.riaise front end of truck, supporting both sides so that both front tires are off the ground more than 2"

3.remove wheels

4.remove lower strut bolts

5, insert spacer and bolts (this is much easier with a friend)

6. torque to specs

7. install wheels/tires and torque to specs

8. get it aligned

9. wonder why it didn't come from factory sitting like this

10 move on to next mod like trying to figure out how big of tire you can get under there now

 

If you only raise one side, you will have to remove the sway bar end link bolts because the tire on the ground will be forcing your sway bar up, thus putting your sway bar in a bind and trying to hold up the side that you have in the air, basically doing what it is suppose to do.

^if its 2wd it really don't matter which way the bolts go.. But from the 6 kits I have put on different trucks, if I would've put the bolts in from the bottom they would hit the axle shaft.

Yeah, I was initially worried about it so I paid close attention during installation but ended up with 1/4" clearance so I didn't even sweat it.
