Dealer said the tech drove it home with the computer on it and sent the data to tech support at GM. GM said to replace all valve springs on the whole motor.

So the dealer went to replace the valve springs and claims the intake valve spring on one cylinder was cracked. So I believe they are only replacing the two valve springs on that cylinder.

That's the second bad valve spring story in here in a couple of months. (The other guy's engine blew up, IIRC.)

Replacing the cracked valve spring appears to have fixed it. I'll keep this thread updated if anything changes.

  2018 Canyon SLE It also appears to have a camera in the rearview mirror, and a forward facing camera. I tried to connect to the wifi it is broadcasting but no password. I just want to turn all that crap off or at leaast have access to the camera info, whats up? Just bought it from a honda dealer And they signed me up for Sirius radio without asking me. but wifi and cameras i dont have access to? I am gonna start cutting wires. Really dont have use for onstar either Any information is appreciated. Pat

  I have ordered the car link adapter and registered for the google dev, will need to finish verification process later this evening when I get ahold of our kiddos android tablet. I will be using windows vs mac so hopefully it goes smoothly. I have zero tech background but I feel I can manage this with your write up. Do you think it will be different for me? My truck is a 2023 GMC 1500, I have looked heavily into the AI boxes but I consistently find common complaints with lag. Does carplay auto open now that you have it set up when you get in truck and turn it on? Or do you have to do open the app everytime?
