2014 Silverado LTZ with chrome trim removed

My thoughts are this: Color-matched trucks are overdone. They are everywhere. So boring, in my opinion.

 

It looks ugly and messy whenever people have more than one combination going on. You see people with chrome trim, blacked out trim, silver wheels and dipped emblems. Just looks thrown together. You need to stick with one combo to look good... whether it's chrome, blacked out, dipped, color-matched, whatever.

 

I didn't like all the chrome on my LTZ whenever I first got it, but it has grown on me and I love it now. Chrome on trucks symbolizes a higher trim level.

 

As for your specific question on the bottom door molding, I say leave it on. It ties everything together like you said and really breaks up the side of the truck. Looks weird without it, unless you remove the rest of the chrome too.

Agreed Habs, I bought an LTZ Z71 to be just that. If I wanted everything color matched then I would have bought it that way too. But to each their own I guess.
