Towing mirror question

Hi guys,

 

I bought a GMC Sierra Elevation Edition with the 5.3 V8. I have the normal

factory mirrors, but I am looking for a nice set of towing mirrors. So my question

to all of you is, are the mirrors plug and play as far as the wiring, and if so, are they set-up with turn signal capability, even though my mirrors do not have it now? And where are you guys finding/buying your mirrors?

There are a couple people selling tow mirrors in the "for sale/wanted" section. One of them is "SuperchargedSS"... He keeps coming up with them when most people can't and he can answer all your questions.

I have them on my 1500. There are several stories about how to wire them to get all the functions to work, and it all depends on what functions your OE mirrors have. If you read the first post here, it will fill you in a lot.

To quickly answer as my stock mirrors were just power as yours. The mirrors plug in like normal but the functions (turn signal, ambers, white leds) do not work without doing your own wiring to the BCM
