Crew cab size info needed from experts

Can someone explain to me if the f150 crew cab interior is physically bigger/longer then the gm boys or even any other truck ? Is the nose bigger? Seems like it as a bigger foot print so to speak vs the industry.

In every bed vs bed comparison the f150 is about 3-4 inches longer then any other truck. For expample the f150 crew cab short bed measured at 234 while the gm crew cab short bed is 230. In fact 230 seems the norm for Toyota , dodge etc. another example is the cc f150 6.5 bed vs the gm Sierra Silverado cc 6.5 bed. And the ford comes in 4 inches longer.

I do love the flat floor bottom of the ford on the crew cabs.

2015 Super Crew vs. 2015 Crew 1500:

 

Head room - Front: Ford-40.8 in, Chevy-42.8 in.

 

Head room - Rear: Ford-40.4 in. Chevy-40.5 in.

 

Shoulder room - Front: Ford-66.7 in., Chevy-66.03 in.

 

Shoulder room - Rear: Ford-65.9 in., Chevy-65.73 in.

 

Hip room - Front: Ford-62.5 in., Chevy-60.73 in.

 

Hip room - Rear: Ford-64.7 in., Chevy-60.27 in.

 

Max Legroom - Front: Ford-43.9 in., Chevy-45.27 in.

When you look at the exterior dimensions, it appears that Ford builds a slightly physically larger truck, yet most of the specs are either the same, slightly lower or barely bigger than GM. The only thing that gets me is the hip room. Both Ford and GM have within a few tenths, an 80 inch wide body minus the mirrors. Ford must run thinner door panels or thinner doors and wider seats, while GM uses either thicker doors or thicker door panels and maybe narrower seats. Last time I sat in a 2015 F150, the seat was pretty damn wide, like big fat dude wide. Even the box cubic foot measurements are within 1 cubic foot of each other. The front of bumper to back of cab, Ford is 155.9 in., Chevy 150.9 in.

Great info and observations. Even on the HD I've noted it's the same way. Take a f350 long bed vs a Chevy 3500 long bed. Both have 8 foot bed but the ford is 4 inches longer. The hip room is interesting
