New Sierra Wheels fit older Sierra?

I was wondering if the newer Sierra wheels would fit my older Sierra. I haven't seen anyone who has done this, putting the new Stock wheels on an older truck, and I just thought to do something different. It seems though the newer trucks have bigger tires and may not fit on my my truck. Anyone else seen this or thinks it's a good idea?

The newer bodystyles have 6 lug rims and older 2wd bs have 5 lug rims.

 

So unless you have an older 4wd, I don't think they will fit. :cheers:

I would have to say that they would fit fine...

 

My buddy at work has new Silverado wheels on his early '90s Silverado and they bolted right up with no problems...

His sig says he has a 94 GMC 2wd.  The new style 6 lugs would not work due to the older style with only 5 lugs.

OOPS...  That's my mistake...   :eek:

 

(I should have looked at his sig because I assumed it was 4wd and everyone knows what happens when you assume something!!! )

I wish it could be done though.  I would like to see a set of new Chevy rims on my '94
