I like the stereos guys... but I need my junk box under the back seat. I store tow straps, fire extinguisher, manhole hook, jumper cables etc. WTH do you guys put all that stuff in your truck?

In the bed. If that's not enough room, use a trailer. I also use a firewood truck for hauling stuff rather than tear up a new truck.

I told him you would be sending him a note. I will tell you that his calendar is filling up. We are still in the middle of my build, but not in a hurry since we are still trying to get my Midbass drivers. Which happen to be a special order and the manufacturer if finicky about not sending to an authorized dealer, yadda yadda yadda.

Now the only problem is that I'm in new Jersey and he is not even near here haha. Do you live by him or how would a build work out

I live in Kansas and he is in Illinios. It's a 400 mile one way trip for me, but worked it out where most of my stuff he doesn't need me there for since I am doing the install. I just drop shipped items to him when he needs it.

This is something you have to work out with him. The best part is that he has the same year truck as me and a crew cab, so he just walks out to his truck and measures if he doesn't already have the measurements on hand.

It sounds amazing! And I have no idea what else you were referencing! Lol

I know when I read it, it looked confusing. Well you know that grey piece that surrounds the radio display? That looks like the grey pieces that surround your subs.

Not my truck, my friends truck. Yes, if you watch the youtube video you will see where he got the idea for building the box the way he did.

WOW that looks fantastic. I think what I absolutely LOVE is how he matched the factory textures on all the new panels he made. IMO when I see custom build outs, even when done "nicely" they still look hacked/aftermarket. This setup - sheezus... looks like it could've been a factory door panel, etc. Love it!

Just curious - whereabouts in IL is he?

The cool feature built into the doors is the fact the enclosure housing the Focal drivers is attached to the door (without cutting steel). The door panel is still removeable like stock, including the factory wire connection. This enables GM techs to removed the panel as usual if they need to work on the door interior.

He is located in Springfield, IL.

New Page for his fabrication work.

Beautiful job! That guy gets my vote or cleanest OEM look to an install. Love it!

Check out his build page, he is slowly adding more builds.

Its totally amazing.

In most of his builds, you have to look a second time in order to catch the small details, for instance the shape of each sub enclosure is actually the same shape as the radio bezel. The rings around the drivers are hand made and polished to match the trim around the gauges, etc.
