Just got my truck back after alignment

I just picked up my truck after getting a 4 wheel alignment.  They couldn't get the front perfect, ran out of adjustment.  I was told I needed an essentric cam kit that would allow them to push the upper arm out farther.  Total cost would be 210$ out the door.  The tires do sort of look like this / \ , but not as bad as before, they were able to adjust it about 1 degree, but they need 2.8 more.  Has anyone heard of this?  Or is this a bunch of  ?  Chris

i do alignments for a living and i have never seen a FSC that far out. i assume you have had the knock out plugs removed already, there are cams from factory so oyu should not need different ones. jacking up the Tbars will make the camber negative. what were the camer/caster readings. the upper balljoints may be worn out causing neg camber also.

Here is the #'s I got from the printout:

Front Left:

Camber before -2.6* After -2.6*

Caster before -2.5*  After -2.5*

Toe before .12*       After .14*

SAI 12.6* before and after

Included Angle 10* before and after

Front Right:

Camber before -2.8* After -2.8*

Caster before -0.5*  After -0.5*

Toe before -.30**       After .12*

SAI 12.7* before and after

Included Angle 9.9* before and after

Front Cross #'s

Cross Camber before .2* After .2*

Cross Caster before -2.0* After -2.0*

Cross SAI before -0.1* After -0.1*

Total Toe before 0.45* After 0.24*

I would greatly appreciate any advice about what these #'s mean and what I could do to fix it.

Thanks, Chris

Chris,

the guy did not adjust the camber/caster at all! b4 you go back with handgun it may not be possible ot adjust untill the "knock out  plugs" have been removed. i charge 55$/side to do that. the neg caster on the left front would concern me, as well as the neg camber on both sides. If the truck has never been wrecked i would suspect balljoints or control arms bushings to be worn out. he may be able to get some positive camber by lowering the ride height with the Tbars.

Thanks, that was my next question.  I have plenty of clearance for the 33's, I thought about lowering the ride maybe a half to 3/4" (I got 2" of lift from the cranking of tb) so I could get a little more adjustment.  The guys said they have no more adjustment left with the truck's front end.  Do you recommend that I lower it some then?  Appreciate it, Chris
