OK, got my 03 Silverado just begging to be Zaino'd. Looked at the website and it says at the minimum I should get one each of the Z1, Z2, Z5, Z6, and Z7. However, it says the Z5 is for swirl marks.

Being that it is a new truck, do I really need this? The truck is pewter and I can't see any swirl marks on it.

Can't wait to try some of this stuff

The only thing I use on mine is Z5 (swirl marks) and the Z2 occasionally.  Z5 is awesome especially since i have an indigo blue truck.  With a pewter truck id use it but not all the time or as frequently as with a dark color.  The Z1 (polish lock or something) did absolutely nothing.  I had half a bottle left this year and threw it out cause it got all nasty.

Also get the zaino car wash.  Its some good stuff (smells good too)

Ryan, the Z1 doesn't do anything but prepare the surface. You are not supposed to remove it, or use it seperatly.

At the bare minimum, you should get

Z1-(Use every 5 coats or so)

Z2

Z5- (I usually put 2 coats of this on before i use Z2 just for good measure)

Z7 (possibly two bottles to last you)

Z6 (spray that works good!)

and MOST importantly, the Z 18 CLAY BAR.

The clay bar makes the largest differnce in the way the paint comes out. If you don't use it, you won't get 1/2 the results. Even with a new vehicle, you have rail dust and other crap on the paint that needs to come off. Trust me, you won't believe how soft and smooth your paint feels afterwards.

When applying, take your time. Read the directions. yes, the first coat takes quite a bit of time, but its worth it!

I know but i didnt notice any difference when using it versus not using it.  Seems pointless to me

Also the spray is nice.  I spray it down after every wash to give it a nice shine
