Drip rail molding lifting up - with pics

On my 2015 Silverado Crew there are two black plastic moldings that run along either side of the top of the roof.

Today I parked on the street in front of my house and the street has a dip so I can see the top of the roof and noticed that these moldings on both sides are lifting where they pass over the passenger doors.

They look like they should be stuck on with some sort of adhesive?

If anyone has run into this with their truck please advise. If is just a decorative part I will glue it myself as I am very careful and would rather do it myself than have the dealer muck with it.

If it provides some functional purpose then I will have dealer address it.

I noticed that during the first wash while on a ladder that the driver side was lifting up. Drove the truck to the dealer the next day to have that and another minor issue with the truck fixed. The service writer took me into the bay to show me how the trim piece was attached to the truck, it has I think 4 pins that are pushed down into sockets on the roof. They had a new trim on hand (?? that was nice) and showed me that it's a one use item, once you pull it off you can't reuse it. So far several months later it's still attached. Glue won't help as there is a pretty good gap between the trim and the metal of the truck I would think. Covered under warranty so I don't know the price.

I had to get my driver side roof molding replace 1 week after I purchased the truck. The first 2 tabs broke off from the molding so the it was flapping around when driving above 50mph.

Thanks for the info guys, I will take it in and have them replace it next chance I get. My truck is only a month old.

The lift happens in a specific spot over the rear passenger doors, like there is no clip there.

I noticed this on my 15 All terrain and I took it in to get looked at as well as a couple other things and service manager was said that it is fully clipped in and nothing is wrong with it. I haven't noticed any noises and leaks or any problems from this. So it seems to just be a mis fitment and just doesn't look quite right..

Good to know.

I will take it to the dealer once I have some time and see if they say the same or perhaps I can convince them to swap them out.

I thought it might be heat related as we have had a few days in the hundreds since I brought it home, but then if it was so we would see more complaints from folks in AZ.
