2006 Silverado 1500HD 6.0L hesitation at throttle

2006 silverado 1500 HD 3.73 gears and 6.0L, 180K miles

 

At part throttle, 25 mph, there is a mild hesitation that goes away when I hit the gas harder.

 

What could it be? MAF sensor? I don't know the condition of spark plugs/wires. No check engine codes.

Check the basics - plugs, wires, air filter. My money's on worn-out plugs with eroded electrodes.

My 2003 1500 HD did something similar to that a couple years ago, and it turned out that my throttle body was very dirty and sticky. After wiping it clean with some carburetor cleaner, it was all good again. If that doesn't do it, then I'd try cleaning the MAF, then those other things mentioned above...

agree with rocko, also check that all air intake clamps are tight

Chasing this same issue with my '99 Silverado now.

Everything seems to checkout. Good ignition parts, good fuel pressure, no CEL.

 

I have a MAF coming in the mail. Hate just throwing parts at it but everything else has been checked.

As stated above, I'd check the throttle body for build up. Quick and easy task.
