Chadwilliam1 Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 I installed a light bar behind the grill. It is on a switch in the cab, I want to put it on a relay so i can control it with the hibeam switch. I was planning on using a fuse tap for the hibeam but I can not seem to locate the brights fuse. I realize the sierra just has a low beam with a shutter. How can I tap into a hibeam signal. The light bar is on a relay now. It goes from the light bar to the relay which connects to the battery with a switch inside the cab. I was thinking since the switch is grounded and the 15 amps from the light bar is not going through the switch. Could I tap into the ground blocks like is done in the link below. So when the switch is grounded the light will come on. Thanks http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/162734-foglights-on-with-high-beams/
Freddy667 Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 There is wiring that controls the shutter on the back of your headlamp,...in essence you high beams, just tap in and relay off that to switch your lightbar on.
Chadwilliam1 Posted September 27, 2015 Author Posted September 27, 2015 Any suggestions on how I find that wire?
