2015 Silverado Front Plate Delete

Hey Everyone,

I'm new to this forum but have had my truck for about 9 months and just recently moved to PA. In PA since only a rear plate is required I'm trying to figure out how to remove my front plate bracket because it looks like crap. I don't really want to put another plate on, rather clean up the front end.

Does anyone know how to remove this style of bracket (attached image) short of just drilling out the rivets? Or is there some other solution?

Thanks for suggestions!

Just look behind it, should see where the mounts come through the plastic part of the bumper. Also you will probably have holes there from where it was mounted.

It's crazy how every state is different. In MO, when you buy plates rated for towing, they only give you 1.....and it HAS to go on the front. Meaning, there is no plate in the back. However, regular plates have to go on the front and back. Weird stuff.

Drill the rivets. You would have 4 holes left behind but it appears that the dealer who sold you your truck didn't use all 4 rivets so you will have 2 holes there.

I'm in NJ and we have to have front and back. Man I miss living in Philly. I hate the front license plate now that I'm back in NJ. Looks so much cleaner without it.

Mine had 2 screws and 2 pieces of double sided tape holding it in place. Easy to remove but now I have 2 holes from the screws that drive me nuts
