Adding a leveling kit

Hey guys so im on vacation right bow. When I get home in a few days i'll be installing my 2" RC leveling kit. I have 17" stock rims on my truck, and think I'm going to keep them. However I want to go with a bigger sized AT tire. Someone said before I would be safe with 285/70/17 tires but I am also seeing that I could run that tire with truck at stock height, so my question could I go with a tire even a bit taller and wider without ant rubbing, if so what size do you recommend?

If you leave it stock it will most likely rub. The wider the tire the better chance of rubbing. I ran 285/65/18 on stock wheels before and space was tight with a leveling kit

Ive got a 2" front level and im running a 285/50/22 with a +18mm offset, which is equal to a 33.3" and had very minimal rubbing on my inner fender liner but cured it with the old zip tie trick. a 285/70 17 is equal to 32.7"
