Just as the title states, will a 305/60/18 fit on a GMT 900 Silverado 4x4 with a 2" RC leveling kit on FACTORY rims? I have searched high and low for weeks to try and get an answer. I have read that they will with no rubbing, that they rub a bit with minor trimming, or that they only rub at full lock in reverse. I'm just curious if anyone here has ever ran this setup and what the results were.

This size is quite a bit cheaper than a 285/65/18 and I have decided I don't want to run a 275/70/18 because it is a bit too skinny for my liking. I am not against installing a RC 1.25" body lift, but I'd rather not if I don't have to.

After reading some of these, I think you'll be fine with the stock rims. At most, you may need to trim your mud flaps or a little bit of plastic on the inner fender liner.

Thanks for the links! The more research I do the more I think I will just stay with a 285/65/18, probably the BFG KO2's. I keep going back and forth between the Toyo RT, Trail Grappler, and the KO2, but I like white letters out on factory wheels and the AT will suit my needs much better. I just have a bad tire fetish for mud tires haha.I found this pic of a truck with them and I think they look pretty mean.

If I ran a 305/60/18 it would have been the Mastercraft MXT. I saw them in person at Indy 4 Wheel Jamboree and really liked the look, the price is great too. I just don't want to worry about trimming or rubbing. That would drive me nuts all the time.

Yeah that truck looks good! Are those the 305's? They look big. I understand what you mean out rubbing tires driving you crazy. It would do the same for me. That's why I played it safe with the 275/65's.

I've always liked the look of mud tires too, but I drive around 20k per year and I hate listening to them, haha. The new BFG KO2's look really good. I've always liked BFG's. I really wanted them when I retired my Coopers, but they were pretty expensive and only available in E range...and they have a shorter tread depth than most LT all terrains...so I went with the cheaper Toyo's in load range C. The aggressive sidewall of the KO2 helps it look more aggressive than it really is, which is cool. That being said, I also like the Toyo RT and Cooper ST Maxx. They're super aggressive AT's that should have much better road manners than a true MT tire. The ST Maxx would probably be better in the snow than the RT, because it has more siping. The Trail Grapplers on your last brown truck looked really good, but they would be too aggressive (road noise) for my liking.

I saw 285/65/18 KO2's in person on a truck this weekend and I'm not sure I like them now... Luckily I don't drive many miles at all anymore, I have only put 1,500 on this truck since August, so running mud tires doesn't worry me too much wear wise. I really like the ST Maxx Coopers too, but they don't come in white letters in the 285/65/18. Uh man, I'll just have to keep researching and looking at pictures to decide, not doing tires until early next year anyway.
