Ive got a 2012 Silverado that I drive on the Cape beaches quite often.I have a noise in 4 wheel drive when the truck is going through deeper sand and up hills almost like a bearing noise coming from I think the T-case,it goes away when I take it out of 4x4.Do you think this could be the start of a problem or a common noise?

I'd start with checking fluid levels and condition, on both the front diff and the transfer case. From there I'd jack up the entire truck and put it in 4wd and then "drive" the truck while crawled underneath to see if you can pinpoint the noise.

We've run into the front diff adjusters backing loose on 07-13 trucks. Typically they make noise all the time as the adjuster loses preload on the bearings, then they start humming away.

I'd check the transfer case and front diff fluids like 00Silverado said and go from there.
