cab lights

I was thinking of putting cab lights on my 99 2500. Does anybody know if it can be done pretty easy? Also how much are the new light sets and can I get them someplace better than the dealer? thanks in advance to all.

I put them on mine.  I bought the GM lights and the harness on line.  Pacer makes a knock off of the lights but I don't think the harness will plug in like the factory.  I would resist the temptation not to put in the square mounting holes.  The roof skin is so thin that if you ever need to remove them to replace a bulb or repair a leak, I don't know how many times the screw will go in or out of that thin material.  It is a job but well worth it.  I did the square holes with all of the factory stuff and it worked great with no leaks.  Hope this helps and good luck!
