So iv been liking the idea of tuning my truck more and more never bought a tuner of any kind before or done this before did reading on there site seems simple enough now not sure what's the better unit the trinity seemed nice because you get gauges and a better display but the intune seemed more plan Jane so what did you guys buy and how's the set up on them and what did you think of the pre tunes im in canada and I have a 2015 5.3 gmc sierra on 33" tires and leveled 2.5 inch so im looking to get some better shifting better mpg and safe reliable power also don't want warranty issues. So what's did you buy and were you satisfied with the tunes they gave or did you later on upgrade to a custom tune.

I think most will agree that a custom tune is a lot better.

As far as those go you can still upgrade to a custom tune with the diablos. Tge thing is that you are paying for the hand helds, they bith have the same tunes so you will not see a difference in performance between the two. You can upgrade the tune with a tune from diablew. From what i know he will do a custom tune that you can download with your hand held and upload it like a standard tune just that it will be a custom one just for you with all the parameters set for your driving circumstances.

Do you think the trinity is worth the extra money? With its added little features?

That is totally up to you. If you want the digital gauges and all the other little nik knacs that it does then why not?

True enough so the other one will also come as a hand held but you just don't get the added screen features then. And I like the idea of a. Custom tune but also like the idea of the pre loaded ones something to try out at least my concern is being in Canada with winter and summer be so drastically different makes me wonder if having a winter time and summer time tune would be something worth while

I have yet to tune mine as i am very far from my trusted tuner due to work. Lets put it like i got my truck and 2 days later hey you have to go work in north dakota..... Lol

Being that i have aceas to custom tuners by the bucket load back him i will just wait until then.

The diablo has the capability of a custom tune and i bet you can get 2 of them on there. Like u said... One for summer and one for the cooler weather.....

I say cooler cause last yr i was here in ND it was in the teens below 0 and right now ita a cool 20 degrees lol

Yea. Last year it was a steady - 35 even - 40.... So far this year been very lucky with jusy - 10/-20 but now I guess I have some thinking to do I wonder if the gauges are really worth it i like the idea of a trans temp gauge in the truck.

Scroll up/down on the info tab from your sterling wheel controls.... The ones on the right side you should see trans temp in the digital display

Hmm ill look into that when I hop in it later

Should be there... Along with tire pressure monitoring, gas mileage, trips, mph, and other general crap lol

Trans temp screen isn't usually there until you enable it. Go into settings with steering wheel controls and turn it on.
