NewGuy Posted May 5, 2003 Posted May 5, 2003 I have a 98 s-10 4x4 and wondering if there are torsion bar keys out there that i can use to lift the up my truck. I seen my father lift his and a buddies truck.( pretty big difference). If not any of you have suggestions on lifts for an s-10? thanks Brian
chevy4x4trucks Posted May 16, 2003 Posted May 16, 2003 I'm not aware of any t-bar keys for the S-10. The ones being used on the Silverado/Sierra are the keys from Ford which happen to be the same size, but the key slot is at a slightly different angle which allows the bar to be cranked higher.
03GMC2500HD Posted May 16, 2003 Posted May 16, 2003 Superlifts makes (did make) a 3" torsion bar lift kit. It came with tubular A-arms, indexed keys and add-a-leafs. I used the A-arms but not the keys. I was using it with a 5" trailmaster suspension lift and I just never added the keys. I still have the brand new keys and would take $30 for them if you are interested. I'm not 100% sure they are the same as your 98 as I was using them on an older S-10 Blazer, so if they didn't match just send them back and I'll refund your money. Let me know if I can help.
