Lower Radiotor Heater on 2008 GMC Sierra 2500HD

Right off the bat I wanna say when it comes to automobiles, I know very little, if anything. I can build you a house from the ground up but, I didn't grow up around cars. I mean I've changed batteries, alternators, belts, hoses and that kind of small stuff but, that's about the extent of it.

I have a 2008 GMC Sierra 2500HD Work Truck [to build houses :) ] My engine block heater has apparently gone caput yet again. I'm in a bit of a bind and I was told to get a lower radiator heater. Does anybody know if I can put one on my truck? If so, any particular brand or model? I've tried google but, I can really find anything.

Thanks

Is your truck a GAS 6.0 Liter, or a Diesel?

If Gas, you may need just the cord as they are very close to heat down there in the back of the block.( driver side)

Gas trucks, the "in line" heater stands up, on the pass side and goes in the heater hose.

The "lower heater hose heater is bought based on size of the ID of the hose typically, NOT application.

KATZ makes the heater hose heater ( I have used and works fine at 300 watts )

The KO5 block heater is a 300w heater also.

On Diesel the block heater is on the pass side, and the lower hose would be bought, same as gas truck, by the Inside hose diameter.

I know Napa and orielys stock some of the common sizes. .

I posted some pics of a K05 Install on a GAS truck in the thread linked below.

I have a gas 6.0. My question was about the lower hose radiator heater not a block heater. Just wondering if anybody knew what size I needed and any recommended brands and/or models of lower hose heaters for my truck type.
