Towing Mirrors

I have a 2014 Silverado, I recently installed aftermarket towing mirrors that have running lights and turn signals in them. My truck did not come with these. I was wondering if there is a way to hook them up or turn them on without having to run a wire from the actual lights? Thanks

If the connector for the mirrors on the door does not have the wires for it you would need additional harnesses and a flash to tell the bcm you have the blinkers and market lights. I know on my truck there are two extra wires in the plug but i don't know what they are for.

Where would I find the flash you are talking about. I am familiar with the old timey heavy duty flashers on older trucks but do not know where to look for the one you referenced. Thanks.​

Your cheapest route would be to try and wire into the park/run light and signal light wires. Otherwise, you would need two new factory door harnesses with the proper mirror light wiring and then a jumper harness would have to be wired into the truck (involves adding two new wired terminals, and splicing into two or three existing circuits).

 

Oh what he meant by flash is reprogram the computer. If these just have signals and an amber running lamp you won't have to worry about that. That would only be needed for adding the factory tow mirrors (you state you purchased aftermarkets).
