Looked at an awd 2008 Sierra Denali

Hey just trying to get some feedback/ opinions on a truck my wife and I looked at this afternoon. Owner stated it was in Fl until last year which I believe to be true due to the lack of scale on the frame and suspension components. There were a few things that caught my attention though. The first thing was the condition of 2 of the wheels. I was shocked at how the plating was coming off of them since they really hadn't been exposed to salt. I also was shocked that someone would list a vehicle for sale when it had a pool of trans fluid lying in the skid plate under the radiator. I got in the truck with my wife and she asked me if the dashboard should have a crack in it. It looked to me like the dash pad was indeed 2 pieces. I tapped it by the center grille cover and it kind of bounced/ felt loose. Also the lower grille insert on the front exterior of the truck was starting to rust. Is this normal for these trucks to have these issues? If so, I'll have to look for some other type of vehicle.

IMO

I lived in Michigan years ago so I think you are looking at this truck being it cam from Florida and has less rust due to the salt on the roads there.

If I seen trans fluid I would be cautious, ask why it's there and see if it makes sense. I could take the sight of trans fluid 2 ways, hes not hiding any thing or he would have cleaned it off or he doesn't care and that makes me wonder what else he didn't care about.

The dash IMO is from Florida sun, the wheels how close was the truck to he ocean. I lived in Cal for a while and the vehicles kept outside by the beech were more weathered due to the salty air, fog, and dew getting on them.

I would pass on a Denali and see what was to be had for the same money in another line, say a Silverado and newer.
