Can I Drive With Kooks Headers/Y-Pipe And No Tune?

I have a 2015 Denali with 6.2.

Currently I have a Borla ATAK catback exhaust, AIRAID modular intake tube, stock airbox, AIRAID synthetic dry filter.

I want to add Kooks 1 3/4 headers, Kooks racing catted y-pipe, and Taylor blue plug wires.

I will be getting an in-person tune from Black Bear, but their shop is about three hours away. Would I be able to install the headers at my location and then drive to get a tune, or will the truck be un-driveable and throw codes and reduce power after I add headers and y-pipe to the mix?

The truck won't care, heck, you can easily drive it for a long time like that. I drove my silverado with headers and no tune for a year and never had any issues.

The truck will flip a CEL for the cat efficiency being out of range, but you can easily eliminate that with a code reader. It only shows up after a certain amount of time anyhow.

The ATAK is insane. Sounds like my 2002 Z06 with Borla Stingers. I recorded a before video of stock and a partial after video of just the exhaust swap. If I ever get around to recording the actual after video I will post it. But yeah... wow.

I just had the headers installed yesterday with the same set-up. It will turn the check engine light on after about 30 minutes of driving, otherwise everything will work. I am running the GM Borla set-up (Touring muffler) and it's a tad loud for me, so with the ATAK be ready! Can't wait to get mine tuned though.
