2011 5.3 Sierra Block Heater

So today is a high of -21c here in Tweed. So I thought this would be a good time to plug the block heater in.... Well after 10 minutes of freezing my butt off I couldn't find it.

I'm no experts on trucks or cars or anything so this may be a silly question. But does this truck usually come with a block heater? And if so where would the cord be?

Was the truck ordered with that option?

Look for RPO code "K05" on the SPID label in the glovebox.

If you have it the cord should wrapped up and near the drivers side frame rail right behind the radiator.
