Loose-ish steering

I have a 2015 Sierra 1500 All Terrain. About 3k miles. I put a 2" leveling kit on the front so I could put 285/60r20 duratracs on. I've noticed lately that there has randomly been what I would call loose steering, although it is occasionally not there. By loose, I mean to say that there is very little resistance when turning the wheel. I like to have a pretty tight feel in the steering which makes me feel like I have more control over minute adjustments on the steering. The alignment of the vehicle seems good and the numbers were good when it was done, ex. 3+ degrees caster both sides. I've checked underneath and everything looks tight...what could be causing this? My first thought was may the leveling kit as it angles the tie-rods...but I would expect the looseness to be more consistent, whereas it's sometimes tight. So now I wonder about the rack. Is this normal for electric steering? I've never had a vehicle with electric steering. Can it be adjusted? Would putting a lift with more appropriate angles and suspension geometry be beneficial? Any answers will help.
