We got a 57 in the shop that is going to get a frame off resto.  The owner said it was good for 11's in the 1/4 but after I looked at the frame I had my doubts about it taking that much power.  Anyway, I pulled out the distributer and saw that bronze gear and knew that I was in for a treat.  Take off the manifold and what do ya know, its got a roller cam.  Pull off the valve covers and it has 1.5 roller rockers.  I pulled off the aluminum Brodix heads and see 30 over pistons that to me look like 10:1.  So I say to my boss, "what are those 10:1 pistons?"  He walks over there and says, "more like 12:1."  Sad thing is I'm having to do this because the motor is ceesed (spelling?).  The guy had it restored in the 80's, put on 500 miles, got married, and let it sit.  Cylinders 1 and 2 are rusted because of moisture getting in the open intake valves.

Can't wait to get the motor out of the car and check out that bottom end.  I hopeing for a forged stroker.
