Gutting 3rd cat

Hello all! I'm looking for some experience or knowledge about getting the 3rd cat opened up... Have any of you gutted it out as opposed to having it cut out? If so could you tell in difference in sound of your exhaust is it worth messing with?

1st there is an existing topic on this. Uncouple the cat back and take a long screwdriver or chisel and hammer and break it apart. It's really brittle and comes out easy and BTW it makes absolutely no difference in sound but if you have an hour to kill go for it.
