Got something in the mail from the dealership the other day stating that my Z is in need of a chassis lube.  What is this, where do I lube, what do I lube with?  Thx.

look this over.  I use mobil 1 grease and a grease gun

Chassis Lube

Crap, is that the chassis lube?  I paid them $20 to do it the 1st time.  Thats pretty sad - i can install a suspension lift and a body lift and do all sorts of work on my truck, but i paid them to grease the zerks.  Man, im an idiot!  hehe

Better than my Subaru.  $125 (albeit it's for a 15k maintenance thing).  For the price, they change the air filter, the oil/oil filter, rotate the tires, and "lube the chassis" which, after further research is simply lubing the door hinges.  Apparently there's not chassis lube points on my Outback *shrug*.

I figure I'll save $122.  $3 in beer ain't bad.

I suggest you keep an eye on the upper ones.  They're not so easy to get to and I think the service guys often just skip them.

Some have replaced zerks to make them easier to reach.  I just swapped a 90 degree for 1 of my stocks this weekend.

I hear that. The grease zerk on the top of the idler arm should be replaced w/ a 6mm 90 degree fitting to make greasing MUUUUUCH easier. All the others are pretty to get to.
